Adelanto City Council to vote on personnel changes

Adelanto City Council will vote Wednesday on whether to renew the city's contract with eCivis, a centralized database to find grant funding opportunities.
City staff have identified over 108 opportunities since utilizing the network in 2009. The program renewal will cost the city $2,000 a year through fiscal year 2017-18.
The Council is also expected to decide whether to approve re-evaluated and higher fees for its rental inspection program and vote on personnel changes previously reported by the Daily Press, including employee raises, position eliminations and the resignation of City Manager Thomas Thornton, who will remain city engineer and public works director.
The Council will meet at 7 p.m. at the Adelanto Governmental Center, 11600 Air Expressway.
