ADELANTO — A 7-year-old Adelanto girl was struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday night on Highway 395 and Chamberlaine Way, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner.
The girl, identified as Timmyia Caton, was using the crosswalk at Highway 395 and Chamberlaine Way, officials said, when she was struck by a vehicle. Caton was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead at 9:01 p.m.
The incident was first reported at 8:25 p.m.
The sheriff's Major Accident Investigation Team was investigating the incident. No further information was disclosed by officials.
