VICTORVILLE — With the goal of developing community-minded business and civic leaders, the Victor Valley Chamber of Commerce has scheduled classes for its Leadership Victor Valley Program.
The LVV program is accepting applications for its 2015 class, where students will be provided a behind-the-scenes view of the issues that impact the region’s economic prosperity and quality of life.
Courses are geared to develop and refine individual skills to better succeed in the leadership roles in organizations and in the community.
Classes are structured to encourage a first-hand experience with community leaders while enhancing knowledge, and motivating and challenging the participants. Students can attend all the classes or a portion of the series.
Classes in January and February include an Introduction to the leadership course, media and public relations, and education.
Southwest Gas Corporation is this year’s sponsor; SWG has graduated eight employees from the LVV program.
The first class is scheduled from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 at Southwest Gas, 13471 Mariposa Road in Victorville.
